Palm Springs: Take 2

 Sunday, January 16, 2011

Once again, Lily and I found ourselves spending the weekend in Palm Springs! Luckily this time Adam was able to join us! We spent the days relaxing in the hot tub, getting in and quickly out of the pool and enjoying the warm sunshine.

We had dinner at Cava, a restaurant in the Esmeralda Resort that was beautiful!

Here are Lily and me at the yummy chocolate fountain.  We loved it!

We took walks over to the JW Marriott (where of course Adam and brother-in-law Mike golfed) and had a fun boat ride.

Nicole and Mike joined us for the trip, though technically we joined them since they live so close to the area!!

Lily loved the water and the ride but hated her life jacket!

We walked along the paths at the resort and found the famous 18th hole, where Adam and Mike rehashed their previous adventures over and over.

 Found some interesting seats....

And discovered the PINK SWANS! Ha ha they are flamingos, but Adam couldn't remember what they were called so he dubbed them pink swans.

Finally, an unauthorized photo on the green.  If you can't tell,  we love vacations.

So Tired

 Tuesday, January 4, 2011

Poor little Lily was so tired yesterday.  She fell asleep in my arms, but I had to set her down to grab something, so I set her on the floor.  She sat up but couldn't stay awake.  Yes this is her, sleeping while sitting up.

Then she crashed over into a slightly more comfortable/sustainable position.

Don't you just love her? Well I do at least!

Rebel.

Lily has officially entered the world of Rebel basketball!

Neat-o story....

Adam and I were heading up to our seats with Lily and while we were walking across the basketball floor, the ushers stopped us near the players' entrance.  I thought, cool, maybe some players are going to come out in front of us! As we watched the entrance, Lon Kruger, the Rebel's coach walks out, looks at us and smiles!  He walked right over, shook our hands and asked what our baby's name was.  Of course we told him Lily and he said, "I love her Rebel outfit!"  He pinched her cheek, smiled again and we said, "Go Rebels!" or something like that.  Then he headed off to coach the team. Definitely the highlight of Adam's day (maybe his LIFE!) since he is such a Rebel fan.  Basically, we are famous.  Ha ha

Toys Toys

Our little monster got lots of new toys.  How we will ever top this year I don't know. Here is the favorite - a hippo walker.  Poor Ethan didn't stand a chance trying to play with it.

Next is the ball popper from Brittany, Jared and Ethan. I think I love this one as much as she does.

And her baby, aptly named Lola by Aunt Nicole.  Lily loves to hold her, give her pats on the back, "loves" and kisses! It is seriously adorable to watch her with the doll.

Now thanks to grandparents, this is a mere fraction of the toys Lily came home with.  She basically is set for the next year!!!

Merry Christmas! Late...

Being out of town makes it a little tough to keep up the blog, and unfortunately, my computer is on its last leg so that makes it doubly hard.  Still we had a marvelous vacation, first with my family in good old Arkansas.  Sadly, this is the first time Adam and I have been home since our wedding.  We had a blast seeing my mom and dad, Spencer, Hannah, and Brittany, Jared and Ethan.  It was so funny to watch Lily and Ethan check each out, "share" toys, and basically do what babies do best - make everyone laugh!

Now I have more pictures, but they are ones I am sure my family would not appreciate being posted here since most are from the early morning.... Suffice it to say Lily enjoyed her grandparents and great-grandmas too!

Little Bit of Fun!

A few days before Christmas, Adam, Lily and I went shopping down in Newport Beach.  The mall had a few fountains and Lily thought they were the greatest!
