Moving and Growing!

 Wednesday, June 2, 2010

We have officially left Utah for good! I am posting from a current stopover in Vegas while we wait for our new place in California to get ready for us.  Adam starts his new job in downtown Los Angeles the first of July, so luckily we have a month or so to get our stuff situated, figure out the town, and hopefully meet some new friends (since we don't know a soul).  We are both very excited and can't wait to start another new phase of life - I'll call this "real life" ha ha since we are finally out of school and entering the workforce.

On another note....
Lily and I got a new stroller! It is a little big as you can see, but with some minor adjustments, we made it work.

Here is a close-up of how Lily felt....

Ha ha not so great. However she did go in for her two month check-up and weighs a whooping 12.5 pounds and is 23 inches long! Big girl! Here she is in her first 3-6 month outfit. I tried to catch her smiling in the second one but only ended up with a slightly blurry picture and her signature smirk, still cute in my mind though.

First Sunday

 Sunday, May 9, 2010

We took Lily to church for the first time today. Her great-grandmother gave her a pretty dress and we were so excited to put it on before she gets too big for it!

Wow two posts in two days! That is a record for me - having a baby makes life interesting!

Florida Fun

 Saturday, May 8, 2010

Adam and I took Lily to Florida for a little vacation before we get ready to move!  Lillian had her first airplane ride (we were really nervous to bring her, but she did great)! Here she is all bundled up and sleeping on the flight.

No trip would be complete without at least one golf trip for Adam! This time he was able to play the famed PGA National Championship course - home of the Honda Classic on the Tour! It was a beautiful course and luckily Adam's friend, Ben, rode along to be caddy and photographer!

We ate a few fun places with our friends Ben and Heather!

Lily hung out in the shade and looked cute in her little swimsuit and sun hat! She even rocked some of mom's sunglasses, but kept trying to eat them!

Finally, Lily is learning how to smile back at us! She usually wakes up smiling and loves to look at us! It is amazing how fast she is growing!!

Graduation, Family, and Blessings

 Sunday, April 25, 2010

We had quite the weekend at the Hales' house...

Adam's grandparents came up, and this is Adam with his grandpa and his great-grandpa (Lily's great-great-grandpa! Amazing!)

Adam, his sister, Nicole, and brother-in-law, Mike, all graduated from BYU! Adam finished up his Master's in Accountancy (fancy name), so it is time to enter the real-world (More about that later.)  Adam's parents and grandparents came up to see them all walk.

Lily and I also made it out despite the rain and cold!

An extra shot because Lillian looked so cute at the graduation!

Next up was Lily's blessing! We had lots of grandparents, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers and cousins come out for it!

Adam's Family - Bob and Gaylynn, Glade and Farres, and Mike and Nicole

My Family - Minus Brittany, Jared and Ethan (Baby's gotta eat!) and Skip, Carol and the little boys (Kindly playing host and hostess for the evening!)

The Main Event meeting her other grandpa (my daddy) for the first time!

And finally, the Happy Family!

Counting Down

 Monday, March 8, 2010

Well we officially have two weeks left until the baby is due!  Adam and I are anxiously waiting for her to come, but unfortunately at the current time baby Hales is not cooperating and is still breech.  This means that unless she flips over on her own, I will be having a c-section.

We have already tried an external cephalic version (fancy name) where the doctors tried to push on my tummy to get her to move around.  Naturally being hard-headed like her mother, the baby refused to move and is quite content being the wrong direction. Luckily everything is fine with her and hopefully in a few days we get to meet her one way or another!!

Here are the last pictures I will allow to be taken until post-baby... (These are for Justin)
